A "corps" is a body of people engaged in a shared activity and the "ps" is silent. In this case, it is the pursuit of collecting, wearing, and sharing estate fine jewelry as well as heirlooms for modern times aka contemporary jewels with a historic element. The Gem Corps is us,
but it's also YOU.
